Summer Season Rates
HORSES:
Standard Summer Season

(horses must be returned by 9/1 to qualify for this rate)

Horses can be delivered and retrieved in loads of 10 head or more for no charge within 250 miles.

PACK SCHOOL
One-Day Pack Schools are offered on Saturdays througout Fall. These are structured to show hunters how to use Montana Horses' equipment and horses on backcountry pack trips. Instruction includes: basic packing (including tying the double diamond), riding, horse handling, trailering, feeding, and camp set-up.
$175 per person, includes lunch and horse gear.
9am - 5pm on Saturdays, call for reservations.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Signed Lease Agreements are required to reserve horses, accompanied by a down-payment of 1/3 of the total lease fee. The balance of the lease fee is due upon receiving horses.
A $2000 security deposit is required.
DELIVERY: No charge for loads of 10 head or more within 250 miles of Three Forks, MT. $2.50 will be charged per loaded mile for deliveries OR retrievals of less than 10 head or for mileage further than 250 miles of Three Forks. Whenever possible, trucking will be prorated or eliminated when two or more loads can be combined. We deliver to the end of paved roads, weather permitting. An additional charge of $50 per hour is charged for gravel road time. NO DELIVERY IS PERMITTED ON NATIONAL FOREST. We deliver to State, County, or Private rights-of-way only. We reserve the right to impose a fuel surcharge for ANY deliveries and retrievals if the cost of delivery increases within the year, including deliveries of 10 head or more.
SHOD HORSES: New Shoes $75, Draft Shoes $90, Sharp Shoes $120. Full Season Horses WILL NOT
have shoes. Short trip horses will have shoes "as is."
OUT OF STATE: $40 additional per horse leaving Montana. This includes the ability to re-enter within 30 days. Horses leaving Montana for more than 30 days will require re-entry permits - arrangements and cost to be handled by lessee. CANADIAN HORSES - $150 per horse for health permit to enter into Canada. Re-entry into USA is the responsibility of the lessee.
INJURED OR DAMAGED HORSES: Horses returned with wither sores, kidney sores, malnourished, or damaged so as to be temporarily unusable - penalty charge of $400 for each injured horse.
Death or permanent injury - value of horse - $2000.

HOW DO I LEASE A HORSE?
A completed contract is necessary to reserve your horses. Contracts must be received by mail or fax and be accompanied by 1/3 of the total lease fee. The remaining lease fee and security deposit is due upon delivery of horses.
Guest Ranches and Outfitters: Please complete the BUSINESS CONTRACT.
Private Individuals and Hunting Parties: Please complete the PRIVATE PARTY CONTRACT.
Horse Trailer Rentals: Please complete the HORSE TRAILER CONTRACT.
For your convience we now accept ©Visa and ©Mastercard. A 3% office processing fee will be added to all purchases (however, this fee will be discounted for purchases made by check or cash).
